Our CFO work covers planning, forecasting and reporting for your business. We don't advise on investing in securities, which needs SEBI registration as an investment adviser, and we don't give tax advice; your CA handles that.

Your data, handled like it matters
View-only, never payments
We read statements and reports. We never hold your net-banking passwords or make payments on your behalf.
Encrypted and logged
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, sign-in uses two-factor authentication, and every change in your books is logged. We handle personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
You confirm every return
GST rules require you to confirm the details before a return is filed. Nothing is filed without your go-ahead.
We work with your CA
Closewell is a bookkeeping service, not a firm of Chartered Accountants. Your CA keeps the audit, the income-tax return and the advice.
Questions owners ask before switching
Do I still need a Chartered Accountant?
Yes, if your company needs a statutory audit or your business needs an income-tax audit. Every company has its accounts audited by a practising CA. We keep your books clean so that audit is faster and cheaper.
Do you file my GST returns?
On GST Plus and Growth, we prepare GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B and send them for your confirmation before the due dates. Until our GST practitioner enrolment is complete, you or your CA file them on the portal; after that we can file on your authorisation. You always pay the tax from your own electronic cash ledger.
Can I stay on Tally or Zoho Books?
Yes. We work inside your Tally or Zoho Books file so your CA's access does not change. If you have no software yet, we keep your books in ours and export vouchers to Tally whenever you need them.
How do you handle TDS?
We work out TDS on rent, professional fees and contractor payments under section 393 of the Income-tax Act, 2025, remind you to deposit it by the 7th, and prepare the deductee data for the quarterly statement on Form 140.
Is GST charged on your fee?
Yes. Bookkeeping services attract GST at 18%, which is added to the plan price on our tax invoice. If you are registered for GST, you can usually claim it as input credit.
What does a virtual CFO add?
Bookkeeping tells you what happened last month. The CFO add-on looks forward: a 13-week cash forecast with GST, TDS and payroll dates in it, a budget you are measured against, MIS for your directors and bank, and a regular meeting to decide on hiring, pricing and spending. It is not investment or tax advice.
Are the financial statements audited?
No. Our monthly statements are for your management use. Audited financial statements come only from your Chartered Accountant.
